What is the shopping basket?

The basket is a facility to allow you to put together a wish list of products online.  You can browse the site, adding items to your basket using it as a desired list of products.  When you've finished shopping, you can email the basket to us or print it out and send it to us.

How can I use the shopping basket?

Adding to the basket:

1. Find the page of the product that you're interested in.
2. Select your choices (from the scent/colour/design drop down menus) if there are any.
3. Then decide on the quantity required and adjust the quantity field.
4. Press the add button to add it to the basket.

Removing from the basket:

1. View basket contents
2. Change the quantity field to 0 to remove a single item from the basket and press update basket.  Press the empty basket button to remove all items from the basket.

Altering the number of a product in the basket:

1. View basket contents
2. Change quantity field of the product to the number required
3. Press update basket.

Continuing shopping after adding to the basket:

1. You're already viewing the basket contents
2. Click on the 'Continue Shopping' links to take you back to your last shopping page.

Checking out:

So you've filled your basket to breaking point and you'd now like to check out.  There are three options for checking out, either check out securely online, send the basket to us in the post, or via email.

Check out securely online:

1. View basket contents
2. Fill in your details so we can contact you.  Name, address, land line telephone number, email (must be valid, this is where confirmations will be sent), etc.
3. Press 'Check Out Online' button.
4. You will receive a copy of the basket contents in your email.
5. A new browser window will open at the secure server (You will see a yellow padlock at the bottom of the browser) with your basket contents.
6. Fill in your payment details, card number, expiry, etc.
7. Fill in any extra information you would like us to know, in the extra information box.
8. Check your details are correct.
9. Click the 'Submit Payment Details' button.

Send basket in post:

1. View basket contents
2. Click printable version button
3. Print out the basket
4. Make sure all your contact details are filled in correctly.  Name, address, land line telephone number, email, etc.
5. Either fill in the credit card details or send us a cheque made payable to 'Wax and Wane'.
6. Send the basket together with the payment details to :

   Mail Order, Wax and Wane, 2 Rasen Turn, High Street, Faldingworth, Lincolnshire, LN8 3SE

Send via email:

1. View basket contents
2. Fill in your details so we can contact you.  Name, address, land line telephone number, email, etc.
3. Press the Email Order button.
4. You will receive a copy of the basket contents in your email.
5. We will then contact you for payment details.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  There are no choices in a drop down menu.

If there is a scent choice, you must first choose the scent.  After choosing the Scent the colour choice menu will be populated.  Then choose the colour desired, if there is a choice and the design menu will be populated.  Then choose the design.

If there is no scent choice but a colour choice, you must first choose the colour.  After choosing the colour the design choice menu will be populated.  Then choose the design.

2.  Where is your secure online check out hosted?

Our secure online checkout pages are being hosted by Secure Hosting Ltd., who use a 128bit Thawte SSL certificate to ensure secure transmission of your information.    

3.  I have sent the order via email, but I would like to submit my payment details online, can I do this?

Yes.  You have received your email with the basket contents and would now like to proceed to the online check out.  Please go to the following secure page:

https://www.secure-server-hosting.com/secutran/secureforms/SH203846/pay.htm 

On this page you will be able to enter in the total amount to pay, followed by your contact details.  So the total amount is the TOTAL from the shopping basket.  You should use the extra information box to detail any information about the order.

Note, in order to use this shopping basket you must have accept cookies enabled on your browser.  On internet explorer, you need to go to the security tab on internet options to change the cookies to enabled.  On Netscape, you need to go to preferences, advanced category, cookies to change the cookies to enabled.

Your browser also needs to support JavaScript in order for the drop down menus to populate.
